Meet JAY

Jay founded the Law Offices of Joseph J. Arcata III, LLC in 2024.  He was formerly a partner at two of the most prominent law firms in the region and brings nearly two decades of experience advising and advocating for businesses and their owners.  

Jay's practice covers general corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on representing businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs in the areas of manufacturing, financial services, emerging technologies, media, and the digital economy.  He also serves as outside general counsel to businesses spanning a diverse array of industries.  Jay routinely advises clients regarding partnership issues, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, licensing, and technology-related matters.

In addition to his corporate practice, Jay is an accomplished litigator and well-versed in alternative dispute resolution.  He has tried more than ten cases to conclusion and participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations.

After graduating from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, Jay earned a Juris Doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law School where he was the Lead Articles Editor of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal.
